The website walkthrough starts from the homepage. The Joint Compass logo is the entry point into the actual platform. When the user is ready to enter the experience, they tap the logo and move into the branch selection flow.

Joint Compass is an independent preparation resource for U.S. military applicants, students, veterans, dependents, spouses, and service-curious users exploring entry pathways, exam requirements, and branch-specific preparation before formal processing begins.
The Pathways to Service tool helps applicants, students, veterans, dependents, spouses, and VA-affiliated users identify whether enlistment, ROTC, BDCP, OCS, enlisted-to-officer programs, service academies, direct commission routes, or other service pathways may apply to their situation.
Early pathway clarity reduces applicant confusion, saves recruiter time, and helps branches receive better-prepared candidates before formal processing starts.
Joint Compass has been shaped by feedback and conversations with majors, captains, corporals, sergeants, recruiters, veteran service centers, universities, and students.
While the U.S. military brings in roughly 200,000+ new service members annually, the recruiting pipeline processes significantly more applicants, inquiries, and partial candidates who later drop off, become disqualified, fail MEPS, change direction, or withdraw.
Reducing 1-2 recruiter hours and 10-20 applicant hours per person during early-stage orientation and pathway clarification would remove millions of hours from recruiting inefficiency, repetitive orientation, and wrong-path research annually.
Joint Compass is civilian-led, independent, and not affiliated with, endorsed by, or operated by the Department of Defense or any military branch.
